Biography

Dr. Matthew O’Brien is an assistant professor within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology specializing in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University and radiology residency training at Henry Ford Hospital. He completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention fellowship from Brigham and Women’s Hospital. After practicing in the community, Dr. O’Brien joined OHSU in August of 2021. His special interests include musculoskeletal MRI and ultrasound, as well as technology in medical imaging and education. Born in Michigan, Dr. O’Brien is married with one daughter and one son. He is passionate about family, music, technology and the outdoors.
