Biography
Kasey McCracken has practiced as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2015, working with adults in outpatient settings at the VA and in the community. She has a special interest in serving adults through the aging process, and her current clinical practice focuses on strategies to improve sleep.
Dr. McCracken’s research interest is in the development of interventions to support individuals with mental illness and substance use concerns in long-term care residential settings. She has an extensive background in applying program evaluation and quality improvement methods to engage stakeholders in program development. These strategies provide a foundation for her current work developing innovative delivery models for residential settings. Dr. McCracken currently teaches graduate coursework in both the Psychiatric Mental Health and DNP programs in the School of Nursing.
