Biography
Prior to obtaining his PhD in Quantitative Psychology from UC Davis, Dr. Steele was a data scientist at the UC Davis MIND Institute, responsible for the storage, integration, and management of data from multiple behavioral studies. He also has prior experience in the private sector as a web application developer and technical lead running project development, systems and database administration, and computer programming. His current research focuses on models and methods for studying intensive longitudinal and dyadic data. Although resident in Portland, Oregon, he is an Associate Professor at University of North Dakota (UND) in the Indigenous Health Department where he is charged with training PhD students to transition into quantitative fields. He is a Data Management and Statistical Core leader at OHSU's Oregon Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
