Biography

Dr. Irving Shen is Chief of Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Surgery at OHSU, as well as the John C. Hursh Endowed Chair. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Congenital Heart Surgeons' Society and the Western Thoracic Surgical Association. Dr. Shen's clinical research interests include blood conservation in pediatric cardiac surgery and cerebral blood flow during cardiopulmonary bypass.
