- Mentorship Specialist, Mentorship and Career Design
Biography
As the mentorship specialist on the Mentorship and Career Design team, I support students at OHSU by leading mentorship training that helps create equitable, empowering mentoring relationships. I work closely with Seth Igarta, the career development specialist, to provide students, faculty and staff with tools that support their career journeys and help them build strong, supportive professional networks.
As a first-generation college student, I was fortunate to have mentors who helped me navigate the hidden curriculum of higher education. Now, I’m passionate about paying that support forward. I’m happy to support students with academic or professional questions, help them navigate higher ed systems, and offer a listening ear. My background in the humanities has given me strengths in writing, research, communication and building relationships — all skills I’m excited to share. If I can support you or help connect you with a mentor, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me on OHSU Greenhouse.
