Biography

I am a neurosurgeon who cares for adults and older adults, with a focus on helping people living with:

I provide minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques using precise imaging (MRI, CT) and guidance systems for my patients.

In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved in research focused on improving patient outcomes. My research interests include mapping brain pathways involved in chronic pain and epilepsy, studying neuromodulation and deep brain stimulation outcomes and exploring new technologies such as focused ultrasound and advanced imaging tools. I am also interested in improving post-operative pain control and expanding treatment options that may allow surgery to be safer and more effective for more patients.

Teaching and mentorship are very important to me. I have received multiple Excellence in Teaching Awards and currently serve as the Director of Medical Student Education in Neurological Surgery at OHSU. I enjoy helping train the next generation of physicians while staying engaged with the latest advances in neurosurgical care.
