Night Access

Tilikum at sunset

OHSU provides care at all hours of the day and night. Traveling in the early  morning and later evening can present unique challenges. Some resources to help with visiting at off peak hours are below.

People commuting for work and school can also request a trip plan: ohsu.edu/commute.

OHSU's two main campuses are just one mile from downtown Portland and accessible by sidewalks.

At night, paths to work may pass through poorly lit areas. Bring a light source and never assume a person in a vehicle can see you. Consider walking with a friend or colleague.

For emergencies, call 911 off campus and call Public Safety on campus at 503-494-4444. Blue emergency phones are also located around campus.

At night, transit service can be limited or unavailable. Having a back up, such as a secondary transit line or one of the options above in car share, ride share, and taxis or carpools can help complete your round trip when transit only serves a one way trip.

TriMet and C-Tran

For anyone with a badge, OHSU’s Trimet and C-tran transit passes are offered at a significantly reduced cost. Pick up yours at: Campus Access and Commute Services Customer Service

All Portland public transit is ADA accessible.

Portland Streetcar

OHSU pays for your ride along the whole streetcar system. The NS Line connects NW Portland, downtown, and South Waterfront. Connect to Marquam Hill via the tram. Free with badge.
