Florence Choo

Florence Choo, M.D.
  • M.D.: University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, 2015
  • Residency: University of Rochester, 2018
  • Research: Dr. Choo is looking into the functional characterization of ROS1 expression in osteosarcoma by investigating the presence of overexpression of ROS1, determining ROS1 expression patterns, testing the effects of ROS1 inhibition in ROS1 overexpressing cell lines and discovering potential targetable synthetic lethal vulnerabilities.
  • Research Mentor: Monika Davare, Ph.D. and Lara Davis, M.D.
  • Currently a second year fellow

Patrick DeMartino

Patrick DeMartino, M.D.
  • M.D.: University of Massachusetts Medical School, 2015
  • Residency: Hasbro Children's Hospital, Alpert School or Medicine, 2018
  • Research: Dr. DeMartino is interested in the affordability of novel cell and gene therapies. He is developing budgetary impact models while obtaining a MPH and serving on the Oregon Health Authority P&T committee.
  • Research Mentor: Richard Maziarz, M.D.
  • Currently a second year fellow

Matthew Dietz

Matthew Dietz, D.O.
  • D.O., M.S.Ed.: University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2013
  • Residency: Oregon Health & Science University, 2017
  • Research: Dr. Dietz long-term research interests involve the development of a comprehensive understanding of key mechanisms of tumor heterogeneity and how alterations in the tumor microenvironment contribute to metastatic disease. The goal of his current project is to develop a novel circulating cell population as a biomarker for treatment response and treatment related evolution in pediatric high grade glioma.
  • Research Mentor: Melissa Wong, Ph.D.
  • Currently a third year fellow

Kellee Parker

Kellee Parker, D.O.
  • D.O.: Rocky Vista College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2014
  • Residency: Oregon Health & Science University, 2017
  • Research: Conducting health experiences research to investigate the family and patient experience of childhood cancer with plans to use this data to guide my own and others' clinical research questions and trials.
  • Research Mentors: Erika Cottrell, Ph.D., M.P.P. and Cynthia Morris, Ph.D., M.P.H.
  • Currently a third year fellow

Adam DuVall

Adam Duvall
  • M.D., M.P.H.: Case Western Reserve University, 2012
  • Residency: University of Michigan, 2016
  • Research: The laboratory that Dr. DuVall is a part of is interested in understanding the interplay between genetic drivers and the factors in the tumor microenvironment so that disease can be identified at early stage and new therapeutic approaches can be uncovered for the treatment of leukemia patients.
  • Research Mentor: Anupriya Agarwal, Ph.D.
  • Currently a fourth year fellow
