Neha Patel, M.D. (she/her)
- Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology and Oncology, School of Medicine
Biography
I am pediatric neuro-oncologist who specializes in conditions such as, neurofibromatosis, schwannomatosis (nerve tumors) and other neurocutaneous disorders.
I’ve dedicated more than 20 years to caring for young people facing complex neurologic and oncologic conditions. I completed my pediatric hematology–oncology fellowship at the University of Michigan, followed by an additional year of advanced training in pediatric neuro-oncology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. These experiences shaped the way I practice today — with deep clinical expertise, thoughtful communication and a focus on providing both exceptional care and genuine hope.
My approach to care extends beyond the medical treatments themselves. I am committed to improving outcomes and quality of life through innovative therapies, clinical research and new approaches to care for neurocutaneous disorders and brain tumors. I believe excellent care means treating the whole child — helping them feel safe, supported and able to thrive emotionally, socially and physically. I’m excited to join OHSU and contribute to expanding research and clinical trials that will make a meaningful difference for families.
