2nd Annual Forum on Aging in Rural Oregon

The Oregon Office of Rural Health believes that rural Oregon communities have the potential to be ideal places to age. This event provides a forum where people can talk about their experiences, learn from one another, and bring forth new ideas.
The 2018 Forum in Numbers
163 providers, administrators, policy makers, and others attended the 2018 Forum:
- 30% of attendees were health care clinicians (including clinicians in mental health and oral health).
- 39% were non-clinical professionals employed by entities providing services to seniors
- 17% classified themselves as “Other” – volunteers, advocates, instructors, and County HHS Directors
- 9% were policy makers
- 5% were members of the public interested in aging
Geographically, the stats were:
- 33% from Eastern Oregon
- 23% from the Willamette Valley
- 11% from Central Oregon
- 5% from the Gorge
- 4% from the Coast
