John Ma, M.D., Professor and Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, joins the American Board of Emergency Medicine's (ABEM) Executive Committee as Member-at-Large.

Dr. Ma began his service with ABEM as an Oral Board Examiner in 2002 and has taken on a vast range of roles with the organization since that time. He was elected to the ABEM Board of Directors in 2013, and now continues his strong service and dedication as a member of the Executive Committee.

The American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) certifies emergency physicians who meet its educational, professional standing, and examination standards. Its goal is to protect the public by promoting and sustaining the integrity, quality, and standards of training in and practice of Emergency Medicine. ABEM is one of 24 medical specialty certification boards recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
