Biography

Susan “Sue” Colasurdo, M.D. is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry, who is a practicing Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Eugene, Oregon. Dr. Colasurdo did her General Psychiatric and Child training at OHSU, and is returning to improve access to Child and Adolescent Psychiatry expertise through the OPAL-K program, supporting primary care providers and other prescribers with consultation around challenging patients. Child Psychiatry is a chronic shortage specialty, typically at about 25% of need, so Dr. Colasurdo is especially interested in supporting other prescribers with her speciality training, since the vast majority of prescribing for children and teens is done by non-psychiatric providers.

Dr. Colasurdo is the mother of four, and she refers to her time raising her children as her “home lab.”
