Thomas M. Barbara
- Research Professor, Advanced Imaging Research Center
Biography
Tom Barbara, Ph.D., researches theoretical and experimental magnetic resonance. His current projects include radio frequency (RF) coil design and interface. Dr. Barbara received a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Columbia University in 1982. He pursued postgraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, from 1982-84 and at the University of Illinois from 1984-86. He then pursued his research interests of theoretical and experimental magnetic resonance as a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy research and development scientist at Varian Inc. Dr. Barbara joined OHSU in 2006 as a senior scientist in the Advanced Imaging Research Center.
