Biography
Tara is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to adolescents and adults. Tara possesses strong clinical skills enhanced by natural ability to build rapport with patients and families. She follows evidence-based guidelines blended with clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition. As a PMHNP, Tara’s role is multifaceted, including educator, mental health advocate, therapist, and scientist.
As clinical faculty, Tara values interdisciplinary education and inter-professional collaboration for a whole person, patient centered approach to health and healthcare.
Tara is always advocating for innovations in healthcare and healthcare education. Some of her interests include behavioral health integration, perinatal mental health, trauma informed care, burnout prevention, and psychotherapy.
