Shana Kusin, M.D. (she/her)

Biography

Dr. Kusin joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as a full-time faculty in July 2013 after completing fellowship training at OHSU. Her academic interests include medical toxicology (in particular, drugs of abuse and plant and animal- based toxins) and optimization of the electronic health record to enhance community-wide health care through information sharing and clinical decision support. Dr. Kusin is a huge enthusiast of creative writing; she teaches an elective to medical students about the value of creative writing in medical training and is close to completing her first novel. She also enjoys strength training, kickboxing, and dance.
