Rivka Spain Butler, MN, RN, CNE (she/her)

  • Instructor, School of Nursing

Biography

I have been a nurse since 2015 after earning my BSN at a small University in Portland, Oregon. I began my career in the medical intensive care setting where I fell in love with the complexity of critical patients. Since then, I have worked in medical, neurological and trauma ICUs across Oregon and in Denver, Colorado. I began my career in nursing education in 2020, working as both a clinical instructor and lecturer in the community college setting. Nursing education has become my passion, and I was honored to join the RNBS team in 2024.  I have passion for issues that influence rural healthcare and how to bridge the urban/rural divide.
