Rita Parsiani, Pharm.D., CDCES, BC-ADM

Biography

Dr. Rita Parsiani is a clinical pharmacist with special interest in providing care for adults with diabetes. Her devotion to helping patients with chronic diseases stems from losing her father at a young age to cardiovascular disease.

She supports patients and providers in the management of diabetes through collaborative practice agreements. This physician-pharmacist collaboration under the state law allows her to engage in prescriptive activities, which include initiating, modifying, or discontinuing medication treatment for diabetes. She works closely with patients to evaluate therapeutic response and ensure safe use of medications while incorporating technology and lifestyle changes into management. In addition to running this clinical service, she also provides drug information support and serves as a sub-investigator for clinical trials.

Dr. Parsiani is also actively involved in teaching and education, providing lectures and serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends exploring the outdoors and visiting new places.
