Biography
Olivia completed their PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University in David Kaplan's lab leveraging silk biomaterials to fabricate a neuro-immuno-cutaneous human skin equivalent model for in vitro testing applications. At CEDAR, Olivia joins Carolyn Schutt Ibsen's lab where they will utilize ultrasound-responsive biomaterials and 3D bioprinting methodologies to create models of early initiation of breast cancer. Olivia is passionate about advancing in vitro human models to improve clinical outcomes and is excited to contribute to research focusing on early detection of cancer.
