Biography

Before pursuing a doctorate degree in biomedical informatics, I had worked as a research assistant in various molecular biology laboratories including at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA and The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, ME. Both roles involved investigation into the mechanisms of disease for topics such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, acute myeloid leukemia and other hematological malignancies. From a desire to pursue more computational methods of biological research, I now find myself in Portland, OR at OHSU studying bioinformatics and computational biology. My current research involves methods of multi-omic data integration as it relates to the  microbiome and urinary diseases.
