Biography

Dr. Maureen Lyons is an academic internist, primary care physician, and clinician educator. Dr. Lyons graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and stayed in Chicago to complete both her residency and chief residency at the University of Chicago. During her chief resident year, she also completed a medical education fellowship, the Medical Education Research, Innovation, Teaching and Scholarship Program (MERITS) through the University of Chicago. Dr. Lyons has served in educational leadership roles in UME and GME and values the continuum of education and training. Her areas of particular academic interest include ambulatory and primary care training, trainee leadership development, and curriculum development and implementation. Currently, Dr. Lyons is the Associate Program Director for Ambulatory Medicine and Primary Care for the Internal Medicine Residency program. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring parks and neighborhoods around Portland, and reading.
