Matthias C. Schabel

Biography

Research conducted by Matthias Schabel, Ph.D., includes developing and validating methods of using MRI to assess placental function in nonhuman primates with the goal of enabling early assessment of at-risk pregnancies. He earned his doctorate in applied physics from Stanford University in 1996. He was a scientist at Remote Sensing Systems in Santa Rosa from 1996 to 2003, when he joined the University of Utah as an assistant professor in the Utah Center for Advanced Imaging Research. Dr. Schabel joined the OHSU Advanced Imaging Research Center in 2010.
