Biography

Matthew Rames, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral scholar at CEDAR utilizing super resolution microscopy to image cancer derived biomarkers indicative of earlier stages of signaling within the cancer microenvironment. After obtaining bachelor's degrees in chemistry and biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, he spent four years optimizing transmission electron microscopy workflows toward probing the high resolution structural properties of Apo-lipoproteins involved in atherosclerosis. As a biomedical engineering graduate student at OHSU, Rames continued his drive for high-resolution microscopy method development.
