Maggie Likes, M.D.

  • Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology, School of Medicine
  • Medical Director, Fontan Clinic

Biography

Dr. Maggie Likes’ patients are like an extension of her family. She is honored and humbled by the trust given to her by patients’ parents to take care of their children with heart conditions. Dr. Likes believes it is important to spend enough time with each family to make sure everything they discuss is clear, all their questions are answered and their fears are addressed. Taking care of children with congenital heart defects is complex and stressful for families. As a physician, Dr. Likes truly believes the best care and patient outcomes stem from shared decisions with the family’s unique needs in mind.

Outside of work, she is a mother to three active boys, two dogs and two cats. She and her husband are native Oregonians. As a family, they enjoy boating (wake surfing), getting out in the beautiful outdoors, exploring new restaurants, traveling to other countries and family movie nights. They also love going to Oregon Ducks football games. (Most of their family are Beavers so they have a soft spot for them too.)
