Laura E. Scott, M.A. (she/her)

  • Instructor, Teaching and Learning Center
  • Faculty Development Specialist

Biography

I lead Training Future Faculty, OHSU’s teaching development program for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. In collaboration with a program committee of fellow OHSU educators, I develop and facilitate online training, professional development workshops, observed teaching experiences, and mentorship opportunities. The program’s goal is to help future educators develop the skills they need to teach effectively in higher education.

As a faculty development specialist in the Teaching and Learning Center, my work also includes course development, instructional design, LMS support, and more.

Before joining OHSU, I worked as an instructional design manager and French language educator. I earned my M.A. in French and have taught language courses in secondary and post-secondary learning environments.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, yoga, and spending time outdoors.
