Kristin Whitman (she/her)

Biography

Kristin is the head of Learning and Information Services at the OHSU library, where she supports faculty librarians that provide instruction, literature search, and evidence synthesis to the OHSU community. She joined OHSU in October of 2024. 

Kristin previously served as the director of the Portland-Metro campus library of Oregon Tech, where she worked to support joint OHSU-OIT programs with library services. At Oregon Tech, Kristin also served as the director of the OER library grant program and as “point person” for Open Oregon grant-funded projects. 

Kristin's research interests include the intersection of disciplinary associations with the open education movement, and the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of academic librarians toward OER.
