Biography
Kelsey St. Amand is a Physician Associate in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), specializing in first assisting on all cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair and replacement, complex aortic surgeries, LVAD implantation, heart transplantation, and other mechanical circulatory support (MCS) device procedures. She has a special interest in the care and surgical management of patients with congenital heart disease.
Originally from Los Angeles, Kelsey completed her Physician Assistant training in San Francisco, completing a double master's program in Physician Assistant Studies and Public Health before moving to Portland. Kelsey is passionate about her work because it allows her to care for patients during some of their most challenging moments, and she strives to bring both technical excellence and deep empathy to every case.
Kelsey enjoys spending time with her husband and two beloved dogs. They have embraced the Pacific Northwest lifestyle, enjoying the changing seasons through camping, hiking, snowboarding, and frequent travels.
