Biography

Kelly Doherty is an Education Manager in the Division of Management in the School of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. She has more than twenty years of experience in graduate education, with expertise in admissions strategy, recruitment, and program operations. Her professional and research interests focus on expanding access and equity in graduate education.

Prior to joining OHSU, Kelly spent nearly two decades at Portland State University, where she held leadership roles in graduate admissions, marketing, and student recruitment, including Director of Graduate Admissions.

Her international experiences have taken her to nearly 50 countries. She has taught English in South Korea, visited public agencies in Mexico, collaborated with university students in Vietnam, met alumni in Saudi Arabia, and led international study experiences for business students along the Great Wall of China. She also received an International Education Administrator Award to Germany through the Fulbright Commission.

In her role at OHSU, Kelly works closely with division leadership to advance strategic initiatives that support academic programs, accreditation efforts, and student success.
