Biography
Research interests: focused on using induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models to study neuroscience and immunology in both academic and industry settings. Kayla's work has ranged from studying Alzheimer’s Disease, MHC class I genes, and Major Depressive Disorder. Now, Kayla is working in the lab of Dr. Naoki Oshimori to study the tumor microenvironment, specifically the cancer stem cell niche, in squamous cell carcinoma.
