Biography

Dr. Jeramy Peters, D.O. is a psychiatrist with OHSU’s Public Psychiatry Department. Clinically, Dr. Peters provides psychiatric services in a diverse range of settings including work with the Oregon Department of Corrections, Lifeworks Northwest, OPAL, the OHSU Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic, and the OHSU Department of Internal Medicine. Outside of his clinical duties, Dr. Peters has been involved with the Oregon Psychiatric Physicians Association. As a resident, Dr. Peters served as the resident representative to the Program Committee and has recently joined the Executive Committee as Secretary.

During his residency Dr. Peters became interested in the effects cannabis/cannabinoids have on mental illness. He performed on an extensive literature review resulting in the publication of a primer for clinicians regarding cannabis as well as local, national, and international presentations. He hopes to continue his involvement with this growing area of medicine through continued research and further publications.
