Jane Babiarz, MD, AAHIVS is a general internist with a focus on the care of people living with HIV/AIDS. Her clinical and academic passions include global health disparities, HIV and Hepatitis C treatment and prevention, resident education, and infectious disease management in the primary care setting. She was born in Chicago, where she attended the University of Chicago for her undergraduate studies and worked with the Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights. She completed her medical studies at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She continued her work there with vulnerable populations as clinic director for Refugee Health Partners. After graduating residency in Internal Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in 2018, she joined the faculty in Internal Medicine & Geriatrics as an Assistant Professors. She is director of the Hepatitis C Virus Transitions-to-Treatment Program. She is involved in medical education with the Global Health Scholars Program in Botswana. She volunteers as a medical examiner for the OHSU Human Rights Clinic.
