Biography

Dr. Kornfield grew up in Los Angeles, California. He earned his undergraduate degree from Occidental College and his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He moved to Portland, Oregon after medical school, where he completed internal medicine residency, point of care ultrasound fellowship and pulmonary and critical care fellowship at OHSU. Dr. Kornfield also completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in the OHSU Asthma lab where he developed expertise in airway physiology, animal models of asthma and neuroimmune interactions in the airway. His clinical interests include severe asthma, critical care medicine and point of care ultrasound use in the ICU.
