Biography

Hanaa is embarking on her journey as a first-year medical student at Oregon Health & Science University. As Co-President of the Association of Native American Medical Students, she is driven to mentor and guide fellow Native students as they navigate their pre-medical and medical school years. In 2019, she graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University, fueling her passion for the field. The following year, she pursued her M.S. in Medical Sciences at the University of South Florida, where she gained valuable insights into the healthcare system and witnessed firsthand the challenges people face in accessing quality care. Hanaa's clinical experiences have further shaped her career goals. Among her various roles, she particularly cherished her time working as a medical assistant in a small pediatric office. This experience allowed her to develop strong connections with patients and witness the positive impact of personalized care on their lives.

In her free time, Hanaa enjoys the company of her beloved fur baby Theodore and takes every opportunity to explore the stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Eager to expand her knowledge and skill set, she is thrilled to join the CEDAR Clinical Trials Team. She is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and communities she serves.
