Biography

Erica Hankins Regalo is the director of admissions of the Physician Assistant Program. Prior to joining the PA Program, she collaborated with leadership on academic program related issues such as student affairs, academic progress and milestones, course planning, policy change and implementation as well as recruitment and admissions as the graduate program coordinator for the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program. Erica is committed to recruiting talented, diverse and compassionate students to the OHSU community through equitable admissions processes.

Before OHSU, Erica lived in Stuttgart, Germany and served as the director of studies for a language and communication organization. In this role, she focused on program and curriculum development, professional development for teaching staff, quality management, process optimization and database management. At this time, she received an M.A. from the University of Education in Ludwigsburg, Germany (Paedagogische Hochschule, Ludwigsburg), analyzing workforce integration of refugees through targeted training.

Erica is a native Oregonian and returned to Portland with her family in 2018.
