Biography

Emily completed her Ph.D. at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences studying Biomedical Engineering with the Medical Imaging track. Her research focused on cardiac photon-counting-detector CT imaging of challenging cases in patients with dense coronary artery calcifications and stents. Additionally, she developed a convolutional neural network for super resolution of traditional energy-integrating detector CT images to improve accessibility to high resolution image quality.

During her free time, Emily enjoys hiking, running, playing the violin, traveling, and spending time with her friends and cat Eloise.
