Eilee Zhu, M.S.N, CNM, WHNP (she/her)

  • Instructor, School of Nursing

Biography

Eilee is a true Oregonian. Born in Roseburg, she was first raised in Grants Pass before her family moved to Eugene, where she attended the University of Oregon. After earning her B.S., she taught English in China and traveled through Asia, before returning to the United States. She earned her M.S.N. from Ohio State University in 2017.

Eilee began her midwife practice in labor and delivery at a community hospital in Indiana. She then moved to Seattle to practice with maternal fetal medicine before returning to Oregon to join the midwifery team at OHSU.

Empowering women and giving them the confidence to be their own advocate is what motivated Eilee to become a midwife. To that end, she views each of her patient relationships as a partnership, where patient-centered care is emphasized, and best evidence-based practices are studied, communicated, and implemented appropriately.

In her free time, Eilee enjoys spending time with her husband and 5-year-old fur baby, exploring the outdoors, running, hiking, camping in the summer, and learning to ski in the winter. She grew up in a foodie family, and enjoys eating through Portland’s many food options and cooking new recipes.
