Christina Spivey, Ph.D., LMSW (she/her)

Biography

Christina Spivey, PhD, LMSW, is an Associate Professor and Special Assistant to the Provost at Oregon Health & Science University. She received a PhD in Social Work from The University of Georgia, a Master of Social Service Administration degree from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree in Justice from American University. Dr. Spivey has numerous publications spanning such fields as pharmacy and social work. Her research efforts are largely focused on (1) medication adherence and related outcomes in chronic disease state patient populations such as transplant; (2) medication access; and (3) scholarship of teaching and learning. She has served as Co-Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on competitive extramural grants from multiple funding agencies including NIH, foundations, and industry. She served as co-author on two projects which received the Pharmacy Practice Research Award (2011 and 2014) from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Foundation.
