Max joined the Physician Associate Education Program in 2024 as Education & Technology Coordinator. He has two bachelor's degrees from University of California, Berkeley in Hispanic Languages & Bilingualism and Cognitive Science. 

Max is currently working on an M.S. in Computational Linguistics at the University of Washington. Inspired by recent technological advancements and their impact on education, Max has developed a special interest in AI ethics. His degree at the University of Washington involves exploring deep-learning technologies, AI ethics, and language access and equity. He intends to use his degree to position himself at the intersection of AI and education, hoping to find a path forward which preserves educational integrity and robust understanding, while coexisting with the reality of technological advancement.  

As Education & Technology Coordinator, Max is responsible for trouble-shooting software, scheduling course content, and supporting faculty needs. His role has recently evolved to include facilitating discussions about AI ethics in healthcare and lecturing to first-year PA students on the history and implementation of AI. 

Max is originally from California and enjoys writing music and cooking in his spare time.
