I have worked in oncology nursing for more than a decade, with experience caring for patients in both radiation oncology and outpatient infusion settings. My clinical practice has shaped my passion for helping patients understand their treatment and feel supported throughout their cancer care. I enjoy building relationships with patients and creating a comfortable environment where they feel informed, heard, and empowered to ask questions.

At OHSU, I teach Patient Care in Radiation Therapy, drawing on my clinical experience to help students connect classroom learning with the realities of patient care. I also have experience teaching nursing students in experiential laboratory settings, and I particularly enjoy helping students develop the clinical judgment, communication skills, and confidence they need to care for patients effectively.

I am also passionate about nursing research and evidence-based practice. My research interests have included patient education, reducing anxiety related to radiation therapy, and symptom management. I enjoy bringing a curious, research-minded approach to teaching and encouraging students to think critically about how we can continually improve the care and experience of our patients.
