Amanda Arreola, M.D. (she/her)

  • Instructor of Dermatology, School of Medicine

Biography

Dr. Amanda Arreola is originally from El Paso, Texas and completed her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has relocated to the Portland area with her husband, a Med/Peds physician, and their two Bernedoodles. Her patients call her Dr. A.

Dr. A has a special interest in surgical dermatology. In addition, she sees patients for cosmetic dermatology and treats general dermatologic conditions such as acne and rashes, and performs comprehensive skin cancer screenings.

Dr. A believes that her patients know more than she does about their skin because they see it every day. She approaches clinical care with the goal of building relationships grounded in mutual trust and working together toward lasting skin health. She appreciates the thoughtful, evidence-informed use of non–FDA-approved therapies when appropriate to help patients achieve meaningful improvement.

Outside of work, she and her husband enjoy spending time outdoors, including hiking, kayaking, and camping. She loves food and is always open to trying new restaurants at the recommendation of her patients.
