Matthew has worked with vulnerable kids and families for the past 15 years. He worked at Oregon Community Programs in Eugene, Oregon for several years prior to coming to OHSU to work with the NICH program. He has spent his professional career training caregivers how to manage, behaviorally and therapeutically, children with significant mental health and medical needs. Matthew is passionate about this work because he gets to directly impact the health and care of children and families in need.
In his free time, Matthew is an avid reader of manga and is pretty hip to the graphic novel scene. He enjoys boxing often, trail running through Forest Park, and getting intentionally lost in bookstores. Halloween is without question his favorite holiday.

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
