Biography

Walid joins CEDAR as a new biomedical engineering Ph.D. student. He holds a ME in applied mathematics from ENSTA Paris in France and graduated with a Master's degree in Statistics and Applied Probabilities from the National University of Singapore. He dedicated his master thesis to the development and implementation of deep learning algorithms to detect colorectal polyps during colonoscopies. Based on his previous experience and background in applied mathematics, Walid seeks to work on a project involving the development of novel deep learning methods for early cancer detection. He is a native of Toulouse, a town in the south of France.
