Biography

Dr. Menza (he/they) is an infectious disease physician-scientist with extensive training and clinical and research experience in the epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STI), and hepatitis C. He is interested in forging academic and public health partnerships to develop and evaluate innovative strategies to reduce rates of HIV/STI and hepatitis. In addition to his appointment as Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Oregon Health & Science University, he is the medical director of the HIV/STD/TB section of the Public Health Division at the Oregon Health Authority. In that role, he leverages state- and national-level population-based data for translation into programs and policies that advance HIV, STI, and hepatitis prevention and care. Dr. Menza attends on the general infectious disease service at OHSU and sees patients at the HIV and sexual health clinics at the Multnomah County Health Department.
