- Academic Program Review & Curriculum Modifications Coordinator, Academic Affairs
Biography
As an education specialist, I co-create faculty training initiatives and conduct one-on-one consultations with educators to help them grow their skills in course design, learning environment management, and instruction. I co-lead and teach the Foster Respectful & Equitable Education (FREE) micro-credential program, which trains educators to integrate equity-driven instructional practices and build inclusive learning environments. I also co-teach the Fundamentals of Teaching and Learning, which provides new educators with a foundation of quality practices in teaching and learning as well as model course design options. My research interests include inclusive andragogy, gender equity, student activism, and identity development.
In addition to my work in the TLC, I am a coordinator in the Office of Academic Affairs. This work includes coordinating, reviewing, and approving program and curricular modifications at OHSU. I also manage Academic Program Review, a process by which academic programs are evaluated for their effectiveness, and I conduct research that informs institutional policymaking.
