Mustafa I. Hussain, Ph.D., is an NLM postdoctoral fellow at the OHSU Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology (DMICE), where his advisors are Steven Bedrick, Ph.D. and Paul N. Gorman, M.D. 

Dr. Hussain studies the use of social digital therapeutics to facilitate addiction recovery. He joined OHSU in 2021 after earning a Ph.D. in Informatics at the University of California Irvine, where he studied California’s prescription opioid database through a social and historical lens. His approach involves serving as an interdisciplinary intermediary. He enjoys yoga.
