Biography
Tutor program coordinator, Academic Success Center
As the tutor program coordinator, I manage a peer tutoring program to support OHSU students in their academic experience. There are a variety of reasons why students, even at advanced levels, might participate in tutoring, from reviewing challenging concepts to preparing for exams. It is important to me that students have access to an inclusive, collaborative environment to practice skills and solidify understanding of material outside of the classroom. My goal is for tutoring to offer one way for students find belonging, gain confidence, and make a positive impact on the university, too. Additionally, I enjoy offering a valuable professional development experience to those who serve as tutors.
Some of my hobbies outside of work are pretending to be cats with my niece, exclaiming at mushrooms I've found, and reading three books at once.
