Biography

Monica Cfarku, R.N., M.S.N.,is the Assistant Director of Clinical Services over OHSU’s Community Hematology Oncology (CHO) Department. She joined OHSU as the CHO Nurse Manager in 2014 and was promoted to her current position in 2016.She is responsible for overseeing the clinicaloperations andclinical strategic initiatives for all infusion and nursing services at CHO. Monica is the clinical liaison for Nursing in the OHSU Knight Cancer NetworkMonica has held severalleadership roles throughout her career including Assistant Nurse Manager in the Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematology Infusion Treatment Area at Stanford Healthcare and co-creator/team lead of the Inter-professional Education Programat Stanford School of Medicine. She has 10 years of experience in both adult and pediatric hematology/oncology as well as another 10 years of experience in adult bone marrow transplant. Monica bringsexperience in leading clinical teams and collaborating withother clinical discipline leaders acrossmultiple healthcare institutions, academic health education,and inpatient and outpatient settings.Monicareceived her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of San Francisco and a Master of Nursing Administration from San Francisco State University. She also holds a national nursing certification in Bone Marrow Transplant from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation and became a Certified Change Management Practitioner through Prosci®
