Biography

Mark worked for almost 5 years at a bio-production company specializing in food safety production. He then worked 15 years at the University of Washington in the Department of Pathobiology. That lab was looking at C. pneumoniae and its association with heart disease and atherosclerosis, primarily doing mouse model experiments. He then moved to Portland and joined the Sherman Lab at OHSU in 2016. In the lab he worked on the gene expression mechanisms in the pancreatic tumor microenvironment and again, doing mouse model experiments. Mark's hobbies include mountain biking, camping, fishing, hiking with the dog and archery.
