Biography

Marit Simmons joins CEDAR as a Research Project Coordinator for the Healthy Oregon Project. She grew up in the Midwest and earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from Beloit College. She most recently worked as a Research Assistant in OHSU’s department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, where she studied host-pathogen interactions of M.tuberculosis. In her free time, Marit enjoys biking, dabbling in all manner of arts and crafts, and working through her library holds. She is excited to join the HOP team and transition to a role aligned with her interests in human subjects research and public health.
