Dr. Mahan received her medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where she also completed her residency in ophthalmology. She is currently training to specialize in disorders of the eyelids, the region surrounding the eye (orbit), and the tear drainage (lacrimal) system. She has special interests in oculofacial reconstruction, thyroid eye disease, and the interface between surgery and art. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, reading, and spending time outdoors with her husband and dog.
