Biography
Margaret Scharf, DNP has been involved in nursing education for 40 years. She has taught psychiatric nursing at the undergraduate and graduate level throughout her career. Dr. Scharf has practiced as an APRN in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing since 1983 and added a specialty as an FNP in 1995. She practiced as a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse in a rural underserved community for 20 years prior to coming to Oregon.
Dr. Scharf worked on the NONPF PMHNP educational core competencies (2013) and chaired the ISPN Child and Adolescent Division from 2011-13.
Current practice is as a psychiatric nurse practitioner practice in community mental health.
